Clean stainless steel appliances with homemade cleaning supplies from your kitchen and a bit of elbow grease to keep the appliances looking shiny and new. Let the homemade cleaner soak in for a few minutes to cut the amount of scrubbing required to clean the stainless steel surfaces. Avoid coarse and abrasive materials to prevent scratching the stainless steel surfaces.

What You'll Need:

• A one-quart spray bottle
• A funnel
• A tablespoon of dish detergent
• A tablespoon of baking soda
• Warm tap water
• A roll of Bounty paper towels

Instructions:

1. Remove the spray nozzle and put the funnel in the mouth of the empty bottle.
2. Pour the dish detergent and baking soda in the funnel.
3. Fill the bottle with warm water, remove the funnel, and replace the spray nozzle.
4. Gently shake the spray bottle to mix the ingredients. Keep shaking the spray bottle until you cannot see the baking soda in the bottom of the bottle.
5. Squirt a generous coat of cleaner on the surface of the appliance and allow it to soak in for about five minutes.
6. Fold up some paper towels and gently scrub the appliance in a back and forth motion, after the texture lines in the surface.
7. If the stainless steel surface still shows grime, shake the spray bottle again and spray another coat of cleaner on the appliance's surface.
8. Fold a couple more paper towels and wet them with clear water.
9. Squeeze out excess water.
10. Wipe off cleaner and residue from the appliance's surface.
11. Use a dry paper towel to buff your clean stainless steel appliances to a brilliant shine.
