At Home with Bounty

The more organized space you have, the better, in my opinion. When everything has a place to be, your home becomes less cluttered and takes on a more organized appearance. Check out these decluttering tips that can really make a difference.

What You'll Need:

• Your favorite glass cleaner
• Bounty paper towels
• Various size totes
• Sticky-backed labels
• A pen
• A magazine rack
• A caulk board
• Tacks

Instructions:

1. First, focus on the living room. Start by clearing the coffee table and end tables. Magazines strewn all over the place can make a room look cluttered, so place all magazines in the magazine rack.
2. Instead of having your entire knickknack collection on display, rotate the pieces. This is one of the more affective decluttering tips. Store some of them in the totes for now, and now and then take those out and put the other ones away.
3. Don't pile throw-blankets all over the furniture. Instead, select a few to neatly drape over a few pieces of your furniture, and store the rest of them in a tote.
4. Use one of the smaller totes to place on the end table next to your favorite chair. Place pens, pencils, and other small loose items in it.
5. Apply these same decluttering tips in other rooms of your home.
6. In the bedroom, rotate the stuffed animals on the bed just as you did the knickknacks in the living room.
7. Instead of having important papers stuck all over your refrigerator or lying out on your countertops, use tacks to stick them to the caulk board.
8. Label all the totes using the sticky-backed labels, but spray a spot on the tote with your favorite glass cleaner and wipe it dry with Bounty paper towels. This will ensure that the labels stick properly.
9. Designate one place in your home where everyone should place their shoes when they take them off.
10. Designate a specific place for toys, coats, school bags, etc. so everyone can do their part in keeping the house looking organized and neat.
