There are many George Washington craft ideas around, but making a cherry tree collage is one of my favorites! I set up this craft many years ago to teach my kids about the value in life of always being honest. My kids loved the story of Washington receiving a hatchet at the age of six. He hit the cherry tree with the hatchet and the tree died. He confessed to his father and his father praised his honesty. The kids will enjoy cutting, drawing and pasting for this project, as well as learning a good lesson. This craft is best suited for kids seven years and older. Adult supervision required.
