If you are looking for fun fall craft ideas for yourself or your child, try making an autumn leaf magnet. This easy-to-make art activity is simple enough for kids but will still interest adults. Use the bold colors of the season to decorate this one-of-a-kind craft! Adult supervision required.

What You'll Need:

• Fall leaves
• Clear-drying non-toxic craft glue
• Cardboard
• Safety scissors
• Magnet strips
• A paintbrush
• Bounty paper towels for cleanup

Instructions:

1. Go outdoors and gather a variety of different fall leaves. Look for leaves in different colors, sizes, and shapes.
2. Make a base for your autumn-themed magnet. Cut a 5" x 5" square from a piece of reused cardboard. Use the front of an old cereal, shoe, or appliance box as your board source.
3. Cover the front of the cardboard with a layer of leaves. Glue different colors of leaves to the cardboard. Use scissors to cut off the excess leaves that are hanging over the edges.
4. Coat the leaf layer with glue. Squeeze two or three nickel-sized dabs of glue on the leaves. Spread the glue across your project with the paintbrush.
5. Make your fall craft ideas even more decorative with a second layer of leaves. Arrange four or five leaves on the base layer. Make a fan shape, create a pattern of different colors, or make your own unique design. Glue these leaves to the bottom layer. Allow at least two hours for the leaves to dry.
6. Turn the leaf-covered cardboard over. Cut two magnet strips to fit the cardboard. Glue one to the top and one to the bottom to complete your craft!
